I Had An Idea!
Y’hello, Beastie! I had an idea but as you know, not all ideas are good to share. But I am going to share this one and decide what to do once the cat is out the bag.
The past three months have been challenging for me. I don’t share much about what’s going on with me mainly because I believe no one cares. Up until 3 months ago, I was on a great track to reaching my goal weight, losing all the 25 lbs gained in the last 6 months of 2021. I had 5 lbs left to go. Now, I have 16 lbs to lose. Long story short, I had a few trips to the doctor’s office, was prescribed a few medications, including a different version of one that I was already on. They resulted in weight gain, among other side effects, all of which has not been seating well mentally with me.
Things seem to have been settled as my weight is no longer fluctuating, and I was able to record my true weight at the moment. Anyways, the extra 16 lbs need to go. Yes, that’s an extra 11 lbs from where I was, but overall I am 16 lbs overweight and I feel like my lifestyle has been hijacked.
I have made the decision to get my lifestyle back and document it publicly. That is the idea I had, to document the journey of losing those 16 lbs publicly. Now, that is not such a good idea to me because I am not good at sharing myself publicly.
You’d think that making YouTube videos and social media mini clips would mean that I am not afraid of public speaking or putting myself out there. But I am, at least to some extent, and each video that is published is another step forward, I guess? But this is a story for another time, either for the podcast or here on the newsletter.
Anyways, I am thinking of documenting that journey, but I am still wondering how and where, which platform(s). I am considering some live streaming, too. Instagram, at the moment, is the number one platform on the list. LinkedIn is another one that I am considering. I am thinking of live streaming my meal prepping sometimes - maybe - and possibly workouts too, or just upload videos of those. I guess I will see what gets to me at the time. My therapist thinks that it is a wonderful idea.
This is a 60-day plan, or 9 weeks. Everything is already in place in the behind-the-scenes; 60 days to lose the 16 lbs. That’s about 1.87 lb/week loss. My grocery list is ready for week 1, which starts this coming Monday, on the 10th. It is very exciting. The trainer and nutrition coach in me will coach the client in me. How fun!
But yeah, this is the idea. Feel free to follow the journey on social media if you’d like. I do have a private Facebook group that is only available to members and clients. Some coaching from me is also available there in case you’d like some for yourself without getting the full services that come with each service. This is one perk of the membership.
Anyways, I wanted to share the idea. I still have not decided how exactly I will share this journey but the idea in itself is a challenge, and I like challenges for they help us grow.
Until next time. Hug your loved ones, train mean.
